I moved to Thanet into foster carer and didn’t know anyone. KMS were really friendly and helped me get the qualifications I needed to be able to move onto Hadlow College for animal studies. I’m now in my second year and love it. All the KMS staff really helped me the whole time I was there, they got me work experience in a dog groomers where I now work part time. I am so thankful for what they did for me.

My son went to KMS after a very traumatic and harrowing time at another educational provision which had become too much for him leaving him unable to attend. He was very withdrawn and completely lacking in any self-esteem. With a gradual integration into KMS, and some careful nurturing, after 18 months he left a totally different boy having gained a very respectable level 5 English GCSE and the confidence he so desperately needed to now be attending university. I hated school and left with no qualifications. KMS helped me get an apprenticeship at a local leisure centre which I am really enjoying.

I spent 2 years at KMS and discovered how much I enjoyed computers. I’m now on a level 2 course in information and computer technology at Broadstairs college. I suffer from anxiety and would never have got into college if it hadn’t been for the help of KMS. 

I have worked with KMS as a foster carer for several years and had successful outcomes for all my young people. KMS always put the wellbeing of the young people at the forefront and are incredibly supportive and encouraging. Their communication and pastoral care is excellent.
